This is a one time grant made available by the AFSS for 2014.

The grant is for training opportunities provided to Provincial and Zone Coaches and officials specializing in a program recognized by a National Governing Body in the discipline.

All claims exclude training for National Team Coaches and officials when coaching athletes or officiating outside of Alberta

Alberta Internationals Trap shooting
Provincial Championships

Date July 11-13, 2014

Location: Beaver Hill Sporting Clays (
near Tofield Alberta 35minutes east of Edmonton

Directions :

We are located On
Range Road 191 between Twp 522 and 524 at 52309 RR 191

Edmonton head East on Yellowhead Hwy 16.
Stay on Hwy
16 Until you get to secondary hwy 834 (there will be a sign saying
Tofield) and Turn right (south) onto Secondary Hwy 834
to 524 (approx 7 km) and turn right (west).
The first
road you come to will be a T – intersection and you will turn
left on this Range Rd 191.
Go 1
Kms (south) on Range Road 191 and look for the sign that says
Beaverhill Sporting Clays and the gate which will be on the East side of
the Road


Edmonton take Hwy 14 East to Tofield
From Tofield
go 15 KMs North on Range Rd. 191.

Event will be shot on Speith machines on an ISSF standard

Park on the hill overlooking the club house - Radio from
Club house for cart service for guns and ammo to range

Friday July 11 - Training and
Set up day


Trap 10 am - noon (by appointment only)

Training noon - 5 pm - no trap help so rotating work in bunker will be required

taken for event on this day

Saturday July 12 - Trap event

75 targets


Double trap training

Trap Event

9:00 am Entry fees and forms payable to 9:30

9:45 Shooters meeting

10:00 Start

Three shooters from each round will be expected to flank
(score and Referee ) the round that follows them

Semi finals will be shot using the Canadian National
Championship Format

Top 6 in each of three classes (ABC) shoot a 15 bird

ABC class champions will be determined from (the event +
semifinal scores) however champions can not also win class events.

Ties for 2nd place in mens' women's and junior's or ABC
class will be sudden death shoot off on semifinal program if needed . Note
class champions will not be determined until all the other events are complete
even though the scores used are the total of the event + semi-final; Thus
a shoot off for classes may be needed after the final.

Finals will be for only the top 2
Albertan shooters in Mens, Women's and Junior events

Top 2 male Shooters (75 bird event + 15 bird
final = total to determine the top 2) will shoot for Champion and runner up 15
bird final from 0 (winner determined by final 15 bird event score only)

Top 2 female shooters will shoot a final in a similar

Top 2 Juniors (using ISSF junior definition) will
shoot a final in a similar manner (if a junior is one of the top two men or
women- he or she will not shoot the junior final)

Provincial champions will be the top finalist not using
event or semifinal scores

12 noon (due to club limitation) - Double Trap

90 targets

Double Trap event - ( 3 rounds of 15 pair)


Top 6 shoot 15 pair (event + final = Total Score and

Ties for top 2 will be determined by sudden death shoot

Camping (no utilities) is available. Please contact

The shoot committee reserves the right to make changes to
the program, or prices. This will be the inaugural shoot If equipment is not
operating as expected, the Wobble trap be used as back up facility.
