With the staging of the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton in 1978, several of those objectives were met. Our members are actively involved in the shooting sports as shooters, competitors, officials and coaches. We hold various training camps, competitions and offer coaching and official clinics.
The Alberta Handgun Associations (AHA) mission is to coordinate and sanction International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) style and bull's eye style shooting and to promote the ideals of sportsmanship and safety and collegial competition is pursuit of sportsmanship of excellence, particularly with the junior program.
